babies on boats
We are going to be going on several small vacations when DD will be bout 7 months and 11 months. Some of them have boat tours (like the swan boat in Boston, whale watching boat, glass bottom big motor boats etc). I would never bring her on a sailboat, but would you feel comfortable bringing your baby on any boats? MY first instinct was "hell no" especially b/c of the whole life jacket situation, but something like the swan boat is a 15 minute very very slow guided tour (i think). Just wondering WWYD? The glass boat is in the Caribbean where we ma go- large boat with covering so you are not under direct sun all the time...

I would be prepared. You can always use the vest again.

Re: babies on boats
Sure as long as they have infant/toddler life vests. We took DD on my dad's boat when she was 11 months, she loved it.

Re: babies on boats
As long as you have a life vest it's fine! You can find them in stores like target or online...just make sure it's coast guard approved :)

Re: babies on boats
DS HATED being in the infant vest--it really covers the entire body, and he wailed the entire boat ride. I wouldn't commit to more than one trip in case she hates being constricted like that (as DS did).

Our Children have been Boating since they were newborn. They always have a life vest on, even on the dock

With a life vest, yes. My parents have a house boat that we spend tons of time on during the summer. DD will definitely be joining us this year.

Re: babies on boats
My DS went on his first boat ride in Lake George at 6 months. I bought him a coast guard approved life vest before we left and brought it with me.
