Babies R Us or Buy Buy Baby?

If you had to choose between the two for your registry which would you choose and why?

I have heard so many bad things about Babies R Us that I am wondering if I should go with Buy Buy Baby to be on the safe side..

i did both... bc a lot of my friends are in Brooklyn, and there isnt a BBB near them...

i like BBB better than BRU bc they have better selections and they take BBB coupons

I just went with BBB when i was doing stuff online BRU seemed to have a lot of what I wanted out of stock and it just worried me so I went with BBB.

We went with BRU. There are a lot more stores around for people to shop at (we have family in several states). I haven't really heard anything negative about BRU except that people like to complain about the return policy. For me, it's like any other return policy, if you stick to it you should have no problem returning anything.

Im going w/ Buy Buy Baby. I know there are more BRU but i personally like BBB better

I went w/ BBB, although BRU has more locations, I figured w/ the registry available online, people can just order from the registry online and don't even have to step foot in the store

Plus BRU return policy stinks.

i registered at both but ive been hearing that bru return policy stinks and i did most there. i like the fact that bbb honors competiters coupons and also bb$b coupons

I actually went to both just to look and compare yesterday. I think I'm going to register at BBB. I felt like they had a wider selection of stuff, and all of the sales people seemed genuinely interested in helping you. I was looking at furniture, bedding and at strollers. In all three locations within the store, sales associates asked me if I needed help. Not one came up to me while I was in Babies R Us.

For me, all of my family and friends are local, so I don't have to worry about OOT family being inconvenienced.

i ended up going with Babies R Us... frankly, because BBB was just soooo overwhelming to me. ( I HATE shopping!) it's so damn big that i was getting a heart attack trying to choose from 30 car seats and navigate through an entire aisle of sippy cups!!!... it's a bit much, IMO. I also found it overpriced and didn't think it was fair to ask people to spend too much money on things when comparable items were cheaper at Babies R Us. Finally, the bedding I liked best was at Babies R Us.

When i registered last weekend, I asked about their return policy since everyone on here says it stinks. it didn't seem that unreasonable. with a gift receipt you can exchange the item or get store credit. if you received duplicates off your registery, you get store credit. anything else with a receipt was 90 days from purchase. seemed comparable to other stores.

BBB. Just find it more organizing and haven't heard the greatest things about BRU

BRU - we have family in Florida and Mass. and it's easier for them.

If there is something I really want at BBB, I'll just let my family know or buy it myself.

I did both also . i personally found more things i liked at BRU . BBB had more little everyday things on there for me

BRU because our family is in suffolk mostly east and even getting to BRU is a trip for alot of them. We also did target because they have some stuff cheaper and there's a target everywhere.

I did myregistry.com and just send out the information in email- they could buy the stuff anywhere they wanted including online.

Some of the stuff was from BRU but it could be purchased anywhere.


All of my family is out of state so this worked well as many people bought stuff and shipped it to us

All of our family is local, so I went with BuyBuyBaby.

I couldn't stand my experience with BRU. The staff was useless, everything was out of stock, etc. I didn't see much of a price difference between BBB and BRU, but I liked that you can use Bed Bath & Beyond 20% off coupons at BuyBuyBaby (as long as they're not expired).
