Baby #2 gift question
I've been invited to a shower for baby number 2 - there was no shower for the first baby, who is now almost 4 and I don't believe the parents are finding out the sex of this baby.
I need ideas for a gift - the mom is not registering - I'm at a bit of a loss
thanks

Re: Baby #2 gift question
my vote would be for diapers/wipes/batteries
you could also do nursery linens....crib sheets in neutral colors unless they have already painted and you could go with a matching color. Waterproof Mattress protecters are ALWAYS good, waterproof lap pads (they come in various sizes).
Maybe a GC for portraits for the family when the baby arrives with a photo album?
I would totally go with something they are going to NEED. Basic clothing items...white onesies, neutral sleep n plays, baby socks.
Pampers.com you can purchase gift certificates for pampers diapers
lullaby CD's, baby DVD's, a small collection of disney DVD's since they only come out every 10 years. We started buying ours when we were dating!!
BOOKS.....can't go wrong with books.
And a P.S. maybe a little something for the 4 year old--I'm sure they feel left out with the new baby getting all these gifts.

Re: Baby #2 gift question
Onesies and gowns get very dirty so alot of people don't keep these from the first child they buy knew.
I know with my bouncey seats they were used so much that I might get new, also 4 years ago they didn't have the bounceys they have now, that have lights and do stuff.
I was thinking a nice balnket would be used for years to come, so that it would be this abbies and not a hand me down, kwim.
That is why a GC might be the best thing though, since she probably has a bunch fo stuff and if she has a different sex baby she will need all new clothes.
