Re: Baby
I'm pretty sure you don't get your period Because you aren't ovulating while breast feeding. The first time you ovulated was probably around the middle to end of June. I would give it a few more tries before worrying about it. Try tracking ovulation.

Re: Baby
I don't get my period at all while breastfeeding either, but once I stopped bf my first 2 kids I was able to get pregnant quickly with the next baby each time. The hormones that cause lactation can suppress ovulation completely in some women, but once you stop bf, your cycle & fertility should return. Give it a little time.

Re: Baby
I have zero medical issues and it still took me a relatively long time to get pregnant with my first- about a year. The timing has to be just right and even when it is, there's still lots of things that could go wrong. Definitely give yourself some time, but start tracking your period and ovulation more closely. I'm not sure how in depth in TTC you got for your first, but there's lots of options for ovulation trackers which is what ultimately helped me conceive. Check out the TTC board! It's a little slow there, but even the pinned post was so helpful.

Re: Baby
It's hard to say. If you were getting your period, then you were likely fertile and maybe just your timing was off. You do have higher levels of prolactin when breastfeeding, which can interfere with getting pregnant. I'm one of those people who have to actively try to get pregnant--tracking ovulation, making lifestyle changes. I've been off birth control for 8 years and just seeing what happens has never worked for me. My 3 DDs were very planned.

Re: Baby
Breast feeding doesn't prevent you from getting pregnant. A lot of women get pregnant unexpectantly while breastfeeding. I agree with everyone and start tracking your ovulation on a daily basis for a month or so.

How could I track if there were so many days between the two periods? What is the best website? Thanks!
It's hard to track when you are not regular. Once i had my DD (I didn't breastfeed at all) and my period returned I found it to be much more regular than ever before AND I had signs of ovulation. (tons of egg white CM) so I always have a general idea of when I am ovulating.
Do you have any ideas of when you are ovulating (extra CM, a pain or cramp in your ovary) etc? If so you can try to use Ovulation predictors around that time

I would use ovulation sticks. I used the cheap one from amazon and they worked fine. And an app. I used fertility friend.
