Baby Acne...
It seems like every morning he wakes up with more pimples. Is there anything I can use, or do I have to let it go away by its self?

Re: Baby Acne...
Someone on here suggested Johnsons & Johnson's baby shampoo. A little on the face. It worked like a miracle for Alex...

Re: Baby Acne...
i took olivia to the doctors for that 2 weeks ago and they told me to clean her face with cetaphil. i wash her face every day and bathe her every other day so i dont dry out her skin. I definitely see a difference. i asked my pediatrician about the johnson baby shampoo and she told me not to use it since it dries out her skin. i dont know if the shampoo is hypoallergenic but the cetaphil is and seems to work. the reason for the acne is your hormones that pass onto her.

Ryan has the same problem. His skin is rough on his cheeks with the pimples and he seems to get new ones everyday. I have been washing his face with the baby wash, but will try the cetaphil Corinne suggested.

Re: Baby Acne...
I was just going to post about this today. My Isabella has it bad. She is almost 3 weeks old. I have read that you shouldn't use anything on them- for those who have- did it work and what did you use? I know it shouldn't upset me but it is.
TIA!

Re: Baby Acne...
I was the one who mentioned J&J baby shampoo awhile back. My sister-in-law's doctor recommended it to her and her baby's acne totally went away. I know some people on here have used it since then and have had success.
My sister-in-law would take a wash cloth and put the shampoo on that and wipe the baby's face every night. Cleared up in 3 days.

OK- dumb question- do you use water with the shampoo? I mean wet the cloth and put the shampoo on it and then wipe off with a wet cloth? You don't leave the shampoo on her do you? Sorry for the dumb question but you never know. I just want this to go away!

I used to put it directly on his skin then wash it off with a wet washcloth.

Okay sorry i just saw this...yes she would wet the cloth and put the shampoo on it and rub it around then wipe. After a few minutes she would wipe it off with the wet cloth. Good luck let us know how it goes.

Re: Baby Acne...
Emily had HORRIBLE baby acne. It was all red, irritated and swollen. My dr said to just use a small amount of hydrocortisone cream and we used it for about 2 months every day. It took that long for her skin to get "Normal" again. Good luck and remember it's very common and will go away.
