Baby Bjorn - yes I think 3 weeks is too young. I cannot remember the right age but it was definitely more like 10-12 weeks or older before DD was put in it.

I think at this age you are better off with some sling thing.Chat Icon

Re: baby bejourne (sp?)

I used the Bjorn from maybe 4 weeks on; she's still too young for head/neck control so make sure she's facing inward (her face to your chest) and the flap is up with the buttons at the top done... Here's a pic (this is not DH and I Chat Icon )

Re: baby bejourne (sp?)

you have to wait till they have good neck control. I would ask your ped. But i think 3 weeks is a little young, maybe 6-8 depending on how much control baby has.

I have to agree - I think 3 weeks may be a bit early but obviously you know your baby best!!! At that age we used the sling.

Re: baby bejourne (sp?)

Ill just wait on it.. rather not spend money on the sling and her hate it. I know my oldest hated the bjorne thing. I just wanted to do some cleaning and baby loves to be held. Oh well cleaning will have to wait to DH gets home. Thanks ladies.

Re: baby bejourne (sp?)

I had Derek in it from a week on...he was facing me, but I did always have my hand on the part where his head was so I could support it.

ETA: I just read about cleaning....I don't think you could use it while cleaning while she is so young.

My DS had very good neck control, and I know he was in it by about 3 weeks, facing me, it was great b/c we were moving at the time and it was the only way I got work done

You can try it, it depends how big your baby is, my kids were in them at a month!Chat Icon
