Baby Classes

My daughter is approaching 3 months and I was interested in taking her to a class of some sort. Can anyone recommend an website to research this and find ones in my area? TIA

Everyone i know says not to start classes for the baby until 6 months. At 3 months they cant really get anything out of it. Even at 6 months, its the beginning of when they can get something out of a muisc class.

Re: Baby Classes

I started taking Jacob to things at 8 weeks old..At th Plainview Y , there is a new mommy class where you meet other mommies and talk about the stresses of having a baby.. I t wasd more for me than him... I would check out the Y in your area...

I then at 3 months took him to Lil playmates- a mom and pop gym place at 3 months..

I think music at 6 months and Mingling Moms at 5 months...

I think Gymboree you can start at 3 months so look into that...

I take Noah to a class called Rhythm and Rhyme near me and its just 45 minutes of singing, banging a big drum, dancing around, and being silly! Its good fun and you can do it with any age baby!

Yay, and its tomorrow!!

Re: Baby Classes

I don't see a need to wait - I started with Talia when she was three months. A lot of it was for her - but mostly for me to get out and meet other moms and have adult conversation.

Try Music together.

dont wait! i took hannah at 4 mos to a trial class of music together and she did enjoy it. i am signing her up for the winter session. she will be 7 mos then. in my opinion it is never too early to expose your child to music. plus, its a nice outlet for you to meet other mommies.

Re: Baby Classes

Actually you are right - I found a class near me called Mommy, Music and Me and it is from birth - 6 months and she told me the classes are always full so I guess it is actually something I should do. She offered me to come to a trial class to see how I like it Chat Icon
