Re: baby clothing
I didn't register for anything other than swaddlers and sleepsacks. I received a bunch of onesies and few little outfits in green, cream, yellow from NB to 12mos (we are not finding out.) As far actual outfits I figured I'd shop afterward, but I bought one from Baby Gap (pic) just for fun. I might go and get a special going home get-up, but onesies are good for now. Re: baby clothing
you will get alot at your shower and after the birth.
I would try to find out how big you and your siblings and DH and his siblings were to help figure out a size. Some babies are in NB sizes for a little bit, others need 3-6 M right away.

Re: baby clothing
Most people will buy you the cute outfits in sizes around newborn, 0-3 months and even 3-6 months. I had a few 6 month pajamas bought for me also. I i don;t think my son had to wear any outfit twice for the first six months!
If you are not finding out the sex you can get little neutral colored outfits all washed. The only thing you will need are some sleepers and onesies in comfy clothes in the beginning.
Take home outfit: (you can buy one of each and return the other if you are not finding out the sex)
For a winter baby a loved the Sleepsack so you don't have to worry about the blankets falling off and reduced SIDS risk. My mother wanted me to get snowsuit for the winter for baby but I find it impossible to have the straps fit correctly in the car seat.
Since you will have a winter baby you will probably be inside most of the time so comfy warm hang out clothes is what I will focus on!http://www.amazon.com/HALO-SleepSack-Wearable-Fleece-Blanket/dp/B00009MOO2

Re: baby clothing
I am an only child :)
My husband is one of 4 but doesn't speak to his parents and his brothers are 15 and 19 ..They are just excited for a baby but not old enough or mature enough to ask questions!
I guess I will wing it!

Re: baby clothing
My best friend (pregnant with #4 right now, so I value her opinion almost as much as a doctor!) says onsies and pajamas are the best things at first because they're easy and comfortable, at least for the beginning. She said this to me so that I wouldn't buy fussy little dresses and things for her kids but I didn't pay attention. She's the mom - she can buy the boring stuff!
If you find out the sex, people are going to buy you tons and tons of cute outfits probably before the baby is even born. And people always buy tons and tons after too.

Re: baby clothing
I got some stuff at my shower, but mainly dress-up stuff and some onesies. I bought a lot of stuff my self which I am fine with, b/c I love to just go out and buy cute baby clothes when I get bored.

Re: baby clothing
I got a TON of baby clothes!! I didnt register for any, most people just gave us clothes. The only problem is that she is a tiny little peanut and I dont know if she will fit into the correct outfits for the season that people bought them for. I have a feeling some of the summer stuff wont fit until Fall

Re: baby clothing
I have lots of clothes but since I am due yesterday, I plan to have baby as naked as possible through the summer, lol!!
Depends when you are delivering -- but I say, keep it as simple as possible -- onesies with the zipper up one leg I am told are the best. Forget pants and shirts and yadda yadda --- one pieces is the easiest.
