baby cry turned to baby scream overnight - should i be worried?
our DS's cry has been pretty much the same since birth. he's just shy of 6 months and all of a sudden today, he's started making this high-pitched screaming noise when he cries. am i crazy that it's worrying me? is his cry just changing, is it b/c his teeth are closer to coming in, or should i be alarmed?

this happened to us around 4 months. I freaked and almost called the dr. My husband looked at me like I was crazy and insisted it was just a "baby thing." Turns out she was totally fine. Just got a new range in her "vocab." So maybe he was right about just one thing....

Re: baby cry turned to baby scream overnight - should i be worried?
my DS started doing that around that age too. i really had no idea why. people said nightmares but i didn't buy it. months later i knew the screaming was tooth pain cuz he would have his hands in his month and even later he would point or say "teeth" :( so i think it was his teeth all along. i'm all for calling your ped for a sense of comfort though!

Re: baby cry turned to baby scream overnight - should i be worried?
My son started crying occasionally during the night and thought maybe he was having a nightmare. But then someone suggested that maybe he feel asleep on his arm as he is a side sleeper. Could that be it?
