My BF taught her daughter a lot of signs.
It really helps cut down on the tantrums when they have difficulty expressing their needs. It should really help.

Funny, we got it too!
It's my favorite Baby Einstein video so far! It's funny the girls sometimes had their hands in the signing position just by coincidence!

I put it on yesterday before bedtime. They watched the whole video, even the dog watched next to them. DH and I learned a few thing as well.

My cousin taught her kids to sign - she has the video Signing Time with Alex and Lea -- and I LOVE it!! It really is so amazing though how the boys learned to sign so early on - and it def. helps with communicating!!!

ok, so I bought it at Target last night, and no3w DH doesnt want me to play it for the boys.
He told me that our friend and his customer told them that they taught their child baby sign and now has stopped talking and now only signs.

I was nervous of this too - especially with twins (being that they speak later than most children). I guess I'll see what happens. I'll probably only teach them a few of the signs - I can't remember 20, nevermind them remembering 20!

how old is the child? The video only teaches a few signs. I don't think that they will stop talking from it. Actually, studies have found, that child who learn baby signs early on have higher IQs.
