Baby food brands
Is anyone using Earth's Best? It was rec. to us but now I see there is BPA in the lids of glass jar babyfood...am I just over-reacting?

I use Earth's Best but we just started a week and a half ago so I'm no expert. Where did you find this info about the bpa?

Re: Baby food brands
I love plum organics, the best ever, tastes great, great texture, everything perfect, just like I make at home. The pouches are PBA free too.
There are other companies that make organic baby food in pouches, but IMO the quality is far inferior and just not to my taste. I could eat plum baby food myself, its that good.
I'm very iffy about earths best because they add a lot of filler to their meat jars. I would read the ingredients very carefully and make sure your okay with it.

Thanks for letting me know about the fillers in the Earth's Best meats. Are there any other organic meats out there with less fillers that you would recommend?

I make almost all his food, the plum pouches are for occasions when we are out and about. It is very costly if you buy all your baby food premade from only plum.
I have the spoon and honestly hate it. DS learned how to suck the food out of the pouches like a straw, the sooner I did that, the easier it was to give solids on the go.

Plum Organics Training Meals have meats in them, but I wouldn't recommend it too early, as they are essentially pureed table food.

I make most of her food, but I also buy Plum Organics and Happy Baby. I buy the Earth's Best snacks for my two older kids, but not the baby food.

This is me too. I had a couple of EB jars, but frankly, I think the Plum and Happy Baby taste better so that's what I used when I needed to supplement or wanted to give her meat before she could do table foods. I made most of her food, but not meats.

I am so appauled to find that earths best uses BPA in their lids! wtff! we are spending all this money to buy organic and then they go and use a toxic chemical in their packaging?
ALso - thanks for posting this because I would have never known if I hadn't seen this.
