Baby Furniture?

When did you order your baby furniture?

I don't want to do it too early but I also don't want to have the furntiure delivered on the same day the baby comes

I ordered mine at 20 weeks and wish I did it a lil sooner....Its going to take 15-20 weeks for the furniture to come in! Def cutting it close- good chance the baby will be here first.

Ours was ordered only a few weeks ago and it is in already.

if you found what you wanted dont wait...
i thought we were early ordering it and it took 13 weeks for the crib to get in, i am still waiting on the guard rails... obviously i dont need them for quite some time but still waiting on them none the less...

we're not doing a bassinet, so we needed our crib!

all depends on how long the manufacturer takes to deliver...mine took 10 weeks and it was delivered to me the DAY of my move! it was insanely close! had i known it was going to take that long i would've DEF ordered much sooner.

it really depends on where you are ordering from
my mom ordered our crib today and it will be in in 7-10 days

I ordered the furniture about a month ago-- at 6.5 months.

Now, we just got a crib, but I got a call that it is in and ready to be delivered...

I think waiting til 6 months is fine-- most places will have the furniture in before the baby gets here.

I think it can take up to 18-20 weeks to get some furniture. But not all furniture. A lot of people get some in stock or in 12 weeks. I think ordering while in the middle to end of you 2nd trimester is fine.

I would ideally like the furniture the beginning of the third trimester. We just started thinking about the nursery. I don't expect to get a super fancy crib so hopefully I'll be able to just go and buy one, instead of having to wait weeks to get it delivered.

I ordered it at around 21/22 weeks. It takes up to 12 weeks to come in and the woman stated that with the holidays it could be closer to 12 than 8. We wanted to have everything ready so we did it a little earlier

I ordered furniture at 28.5 weeks. The latest it will arrive is 3 days after my EDD. Since I wasn't planning on having the furniture in the house before the baby arrived, I didn't mind. I also don't plan on using the crib right away.

I haven't ordered any yet and i'm 27 weeks. For some reason I'm not really worried, worse case scenario it comes after the baby is here and he sleeps in a bassinet or co-sleeper at first.

I would say that I wouldn't order earlier than your second trimester though.
