Baby Gap
I haven't purchased anything from Gap yet.
How do their sizes compare with Carters?
Logan is in 12 month Carters now.. slowly outgrowing them though.
TIA

Re: Baby Gap
I feel like the run small. Here is my DD (2 months old) in 6-12 month pj's:
She also grew out of a 3-6 month outfit by 1 month old. She is a big baby though.

Re: Baby Gap
I think Baby Gap runs big. DD still fits into some of her up to 3 months outfits from the gap. She is 4 months old and 12lbs 12oz. For Carters she is growing out of 3 month size and wearing some 6 month stuff

I think Gap runs big. DS is 15 months and his 12-18 month clothes just started fitting him.

Re: Baby Gap
depends, someone just bought my DD pjs' 12-18 months which is usually big for her and she is busting out of it. Some of the regular clothes have been normal to a little big, while others way to small.

Re: Baby Gap
Okay, I think Baby Gap runs EXTREMELY small.
Logan is wearing 12-28 month outfits in them.
He's 7 months.

Re: Baby Gap
the pj's run small I guess because they want them to fit snug...
for example Antonio wears 3t pj's but the 2t pants are big on him
i love baby gap pj's

Re: Baby Gap
I think Baby Gap runs big. 3-6 months onesies are still big on Bella and 6-12 months are HUGE! (she's almost 7 months) pants, she's in 6-12 months.
Carters she's in 3 month onesies and 6 month pants..... but in their sets - 6 months.

Re: Baby Gap
Sabrina is wearing 12 months in Carter's and 12-18 months in Gap and Old Navy (same company). They seem to fit okay. The bodysuits seemed a little big, but the other stuff was fine.
I think Carter's 12 month size goes up to 24.5 lbs but Gap/Old Navy 12-18 goes up to 27 lbs so they will last longer.

Re: Baby Gap
I think you're gonig to get different answers from everyone on this question...all depends on if your DC is average, big or small for his/her age.
DD is on the small side (born at 6 lbs 1 oz) and I think that Carters runs small and Baby Gap is true to size. DD is 11 weeks and doesn't fit into most carters 0-3 month sizes. She is still fitting into Gap 0-3 month sizes, but starting to grow out of some and fitting into some 3-6 month sizes.
I do, however, prefer Gap clothes to Carters for the most part. They wash much better and always look like new. I find some of carters things pill pretty badly, but others wash great.

Re: Baby Gap
I agree about the PJs. They come with a tag that says they are supposed to fit snug. DD had a 6-12mo pair when she was 8 months and they fit like a glove. They did fit her until 11months.
As far as clothes, I think they are true to size. DD is in 12-18months (she's 12mo) and they are a little big but they should last for a few months just fine.
That's what I like about Gap. She got a lot of use of her 6-12mo clothing because she could wear it for so long. She still wears a 3-6mo short-sleeve dress but as a shirt with a l/s onesie underneath!
Carter's runs small. DD is in 18mo Carter's clothing. She's always been one step ahead of her actual age with Carter's, except for the NB size.
