Baby Gillian
Sunday, November 26, 2006, exactly a yr to date of when my dad passed was the exact day my baby girl was born. 4 AM I felt the sudden urge to go to the bathroom BUT when i went it just didnt stop. I thought to myself..."I know, the girls from LIF said if you lay down and the water starts to pool, then your water broke"...sure enough...that was the case. It didnt stop for the next 18 hrs. The dr admitted me to the hospital at 5 AM. I didnt feel anything as of yet. I was 2 cm dialated and then 3. The dr came in around 11pm and wanted to speed things along. By 12 pm I got an epidural and the contractions began to come on strong. By 6pm my epi was wearing off and the contractions were so intense. At this point I was 6 cm dialated. Little did I know that the DR would recommend a C-section due to the fact that my water broke so much earlier. I guess if i continued it might have been a dry birth. At 10:04 we reached the OR. My mom and dh went in with me. Within a matter of 10-15 minutes I heard the sweet lil' cry of my baby .... well i heards dh yell out "OH MY GOD I KNEW IT WAS A GIRL" and then I heard her cry. Best sound I could ever hear. She was perfect! What was last yr a terrible day turned out to be such an overwhelming day of joy! Gillian Hailey Cara brought so much joy into so many lives. She is a true blessing from above!

What a wonderful birth story Paulette. I remember that day like it was yesterday. Gilly was beautiful when she was born and perfect and she still is.
