Re: baby is head down and in position...
i don't know about the majority of pregnancies, but DD turned right around then too....
i totally felt her - it was a diff in the way that she was kicking, and where she was kicking me.
u'll find that he'll still turn around, but will return back to head down position.

He will keep moving around often through out his time in there. Sometimes my DD is in position and most others she is breech or sideways.
They move right up until the moment you give birth so I wouldn't worry too much??? I'm sure your doctors will monitor you from this point forward.

My baby turned about 27-28 weeks (I literally felt him or her shift and the next day I had a sono. Ever since then, they been able to confirm baby is in position.

Re: baby is head down and in position...
DS has been head down since around 27 weeks. The dr told me that yes, he's in position, (at that time) but he'll move around up until labor when he decends right into the pelvis. As of now (almost 38 weeks) I can still feel him squirming around and sometimes feel him sideways, then he goes must go back to being head down because I can feel that too.

DS was head down very early on too. They told me he could move to any position up until birth but he never really did, he stayed that way.

Re: baby is head down and in position...
At my last sono, DD was head down, ~30 weeks i think. my dr was happy about that but said she can definitely still change position so it didn't mean much. Hopefully this week at my 34 week sono she will still be head down still.
