It's like that movie Home Alone. How do you sit on a flight for 3 hours and NOT check on your 2YO? regardless of who the husband/wife thought the 2yo was with. This is totally unacceptable.

I personally wouldnt do it but I can see it happenning to some families. Definitely carelessness.

Sorry I don't see how it happens - BUT having said that my mother once knew a mom many years ago who had I think 5 or 6 kids and one day at the beach packed up the car and she went to drive off only to realize right before leaving the parking lot that she forgot to put one of them. But with a bunch of adults and one kid - I just don't see how not one of them realized he wasn't there.

i have 4 kids and i also have a habit of taking my friends kids with my when i go places and i have NEVER left a kid anywhere!! I always do a head count to make sure i have them all. heck last year in the bronx zoo i had an extra head in the headcount, someone elses kid started to tag along with us!!!! i guess he thought we were more fun! lol
