BABY MOON ideas
We are looking to take a trip this fall before the baby is born. I am due in Feb.
Any ideas?
I was thinking Colorado, mountain top, spa, that sorta thing...
The sun makes me sick right now (and I love the sun) - but the heat doesn't mix with pregnant me, so somewhere not hot!
Any ideas of somewhere romantic where we can relax and stuff???

Re: BABY MOON ideas
We are going to lake george next week, might be cooler in the fall...we are prob going to Puerto Rico in Nov, where obviously it will be warm...but it will be cold here, so it will be a nice escape and not to far to travel...good luck and let us know what you decide

Re: BABY MOON ideas
I was just going to say 'somewhere not hot'.....
the spa I don't know about... many things you can't do.... sauna, hot tub, most masages.... it may be a bummer.
We went to northern europe (uk and germany) and had a blast. even in july, it wasn't too hot for me.
my vote would be uk or scandinavia

Re: BABY MOON ideas
We are going away in the Fall as well-- actually we are also traveling next week, but that's not our babymoon.
We decided to drive somewhere because airline tickets are ridic at the moment-- and we did a lot of travelling last year, and the first part of this year-- so, we didn't feel like we were missing out.
We booked 5 nights at a luxury B&B in New Hope, PA... we have been there before, like the town-- and it's only an hour or so from us. We figured since we were driving also, we could spend more per night on the room, and splurge most nights on dinner too.
eta-- If I had my way, we'd be going to Canyon Ranch in Lenox-- but it's way $$$$$$. I will get there one day!!!

Re: BABY MOON ideas
If you are looking some place closer I would say Maine, Vermont, or Connecticut. We stayed in Connecticut one time during the fall and it was absolutely beautiful. I think it was it Litchfield County, but I am not sure. We also go to Ogunquit & York Maine all the time and it is beautiful. I have only been to Maine in the Summer and Spring, but I am sure it is beautiful in the fall. Vermont would also beautiful in the fall.

Re: BABY MOON ideas
If you're flying, Rome is gorgeous in the Fall, and not crowded. (super romantic, too!)
England is also nice in the Fall.
If you are not flying, definitely try to go somewhere in New England for the foliage and pleasant weather. I love Stowe, Vermont that time of year especially. Stowe is known for many spas and accomodations for relaxing; the restaurants are superb, too.
Have fun! Happy planning!!

Re: BABY MOON ideas
I wouldnt do CO if i were you. I just got back from there for business, and not only is it hot but because of the high elevation, i was out of breath and exhausted all the time. Add that to being pregnant, and you might find yourself miserable!
Good luck.
DH and I are thinking Bahamas..

Re: BABY MOON ideas
What about a lake house ustate NY? We stayed at a ski chalet style house and it was beautiful. Not much to do up there but relax.

Re: BABY MOON ideas
I wouldn't do a mountain thing (you might get more easily light-headed from the low oxygen levels), and definitely not a spa (no hot baths, saunas, hot tubs!)
Since it sounds like you're interested in something peaceful and scenic out west, what about going to a national park (visit the great redwoods or old faithful)? They're both gorgeous, wonderful fresh air, and romantic.....
