Baby Registry Question...GOOD ONE..come see
Why is it that we register for things, get excited when we see things coming off the list, even though we know what we are getting (more or less) and then get excited/surprised once we open the gifts???

Thats why I really shouldn't peek. I find, with our wedding, that i was more excited when I saw the stuff disappear than when I opened the gift in person, because I knew I was getting it.

I dont know, all I know is that at my bridal shower, even though it was on my registry...I got totally excited when I opened my sterling silver ice bucket...and it was a genuine surprise and excitement!! I think its just gifts, unwrapping gifts are fun whether you know what they could be or not!! ... and when you know you will actually l like the gift (b/c u picked it out) it makes it even better!

I didn't mean acting as in "faking" ..I changed what I wrote for clarity.
I know it's all cute..but it's just funny to me that we all do that..baby or otherwise. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
