baby shower gift....is this okay?
My cousin's baby shower is Saturday. I normally buy things off of people's registries, but I wanted to do something different. I bought her a cute basket lined with pink gingham, and bought 10 adorable board books to put in it. I spent $60 on this, and then bought one outfit and matching blanket, because I felt like the book basket looked cheap. Honestly, I spent about 10-20 more than I planned, and I still feel like it looks like I am giving her nothing. Is this okay???

I think that is a great gift. I love "homemade" gifts like these. To me they are so thoughtful that you can't put a price on them. I'm pretty sure your cousin will get good use out of the basket and it's contents.
