Baby Showers for baby #3?
OK I had a baby shower for my 1st child who is now 9 from both Dh's Family and mine. With Baby #2 I had a baby shower from Dh's family not mine she is now 4 1/2 my question Do you think it would be wrong to hint to my mother to have another one ? I have nothing the 2nd baby shower I just got diapers and things like that. So literally I am starting from square one I have no crib,stroller, carseat, etc.... Do you think im wrong and being selfish? Technically its been 9 yrs since that baby shower.
UPDATE: Thank you guys for your advise I think I will just sit back and if she asks me if i need certain things I will let her know but im not going to register for anything or hint . Im going to start buying some items after I find out what I am having in 2 weeks Thank you again I appreciate it!!

I understand what you are saying that its been 9 years..but 3 showers is alot..but you should do whatever makes you happy!

Yes, it would be wrong to hint. It is FINE if your mom or someone wants to do a little something for you, but hinting for shower #3 regardless of how far apart is appearing selfish. I doubt you are that type of person, but in my opinion I would not do it.

Also....people get things for every baby...people will bring clothes/diapers etc...it always happens. There is no need for a shower!

personally I think it is a bit tacky to hint for another shower (sorry) . REgardless of when the last shower was, I wouldn't have a third.

Dont appoligize thats why im asking no one in my family has had this many kids so im not sure how it works.

It's been 7 years between DD#1 and this  , and I did not want another shower. I felt like it was asking for too much! My mom pushed the issue a little because so many people were asking her. Everyone around me is very excited because we have had difficulty getting p/g and have had 4 M/C's. Hence the seven years. So I agreed to a small gathering of immediate family at her house which I think is really nice of her. I feel very lucky!

My mom is having one for me, but just a really small one with only close family and friends.
My opinion is that every baby should be celebrated. It's not about the gifts for me, its about the people I love gathering to celebrate a new baby.

Too be completely honest, I had 3 freinds this year that had 2nd baby showers ( all 1st kids between 3 and 5) and it was annoying to me as a guest...to answer your question, I would not hint. Like someone else said, those people who want to give gifts will give them anyway.

While I think every baby should be celebrated, after the 1st baby, I think they should be celebrated after they come.
I know I would bring a baby gift to either the hospital, house afterwards, christening, etc.
I think it comes off as a solicitation for gifts & wouldn't want to obligate people.
