My mom made bags up for the favors with a pic of me and a poem on the outside and inside she had muffin tins and a package of muffin mix. Everyone loved them

I went to one where instead of a card we were asked to bring our fave children's book and write a message to the baby in it. They had a bookcase next to where the mom to be was opening gifts and put them in there as she opened them.
And I loved my favors, they were 3 oz plastic bottles filled with pastel mints. So cute, and edible.

I had individually boxed cupcakes as favors and they were a huge hit!!
Centerpieces were chocolate lollipops in shapes of baby bottles, baby carriages, etc. and in a flower pot wrapped in pretty cellophane paper.
Place card holders were wooden letter blocks with a slit cut in them to hold the place card. All of these were DYI and did not cost a lot of $$.

At my shower, my sister hung a clothes line across the back wall and hung different baby clothes in all different sizes with clothes pins. It was adorable.

For my BFF's shower, while we were waiting for her to arrive....we put out white onesies in all different sizes and fabric pens for the guests to design their own onesies ! Then when they were done, we strung a clothesline behind the gift opening chair...
Everyone had a great time doing it and being creative...It passed the time and my best friend said she used all of them

i loved the centerpieces at a shower I went to a couple of years ago. They were little wooden stools with a fam animal carved on the seat. They got them at home goods, and btw last week home goods still had some of these. If I find a pic I'll post.

I loved the Sweets table we had at my SIL's baby shower. Also, Rachel's topiary was a huge hit too.

I got a book of advice at mine, it was pretty funny!
I like the game where everyone takes a piece of TP and dont know what its for, whoever is closest to the waist size of the mama wins - it takes just a few minutes and you can give out prizes, I would only do it if she were carrying small though LOL

My favorite baby showers are ones that I am not invited too . I am not a huge fan. I find them boring and especially those hideous games (hey my mom had them at mine too!).
I say cut it down to 3 hours and let people chat away.
