Re: Baby sleeping in room question???
is going to be in a 2nd crib that we have in our room for the first 6 months (if all goes according to plan). I'm planning on breastfeeding so I want her close by in the middle of the night, plus our nursery is on a different floor than our master bedroom and I just feel more comfortable having her with us for a significant amount of time.

Re: Baby sleeping in room question???
DD was in her room, in her crib from day one.
It worked out great for us since one of us would go in there to feed her, rock her without waking the other (we traded off so we could each get a little sleep).
It was also great because we didn't have to deal with a transition.
We will do the same with this baby.

Re: Baby sleeping in room question???
I'm going to put the baby in his/her room with is three steps away from ours. I want him/her to get used to being in their own room from the start.

Re: Baby sleeping in room question???
We kept our daughter in our room in her PNP for about 3 weeks. But she wsa SUCH a noisy sleeper, it was best for all of us to move her to her crib after that.
I knew we would need a PNP for when we travelled, so I just bought that, and used it in our room, rather than waste more money on a bassinet that would only be useful for a short time.
