Baby steps and a thank you
So 5 years ago, I had my son. I gained 25 lbs that I never lost. In that time, I also had my daughter who is 2. Mind you, I was never a thin person but those 25 lbs made me feel terrible. DH never cared and said I was beautiful. But I couldn't even look at myself in pictures. So in Jan I told myself by my 40th bday in April, I want at least try.
Today, I am down almost 15 lbs. I have been using MFP and been doing the 200 squat app. I am 10 lbs away but was able to put a suit on that I haven't in 6 years. SIX YEARS!!! It was the best Valentine's day gift I gave myself.
I have a way to go...the rest of the 10 and then another 20 before I get to my personal goal. I want to say thank you to all......I have been reading posts on this board fr months. All of you have inspired me!

Re: Baby steps and a thank you
You should be really proud of yourself. Weight loss of any amount takes a lot of dedication, so I think 15 lbs is a huge accomplishment.
Plus, fitting into smaller sized clothes feels so much better, imo, than any number on the scale could ever make me feel! I love my clothes -- right now, I am trying to get back into my old jeans (HATE jeans! lol).
Definitely keep up the good work and keep posting with us. I mostly post on the "Home" board but have been getting more active on this one because it really helps me stay motivated.

Re: Baby steps and a thank you
Great job!!! I know how difficult it is...I gained 80 pounds with my daughter...and it took me 5 years to get it all off...now I'm working on the weight I had to lose before I got pregnant with her! It's slow....but it's worth it when those clothes fit for the first time in years! Keep up the great work!!
