Baby teeth crooked?

I keep seeing pics of childrens first top and bottom teeth and they all look straight. It looks like DSs 2 bottom middle teeth that just came in are coming up crooked. Do they tend to straighten out as the other teeth come in, or are they going to be like this until he gets his adult teeth? And is this an indication of what his adult teeth will be like?

Re: Baby teeth crooked?

Did a little research and answered my own questions.

Baby teeth often come in crooked, especially the bottom. Often, they straighten out as they come up and as more teeth come in. Even if they don't, it's no indication of what adult teeth will look like. The most important aspect of baby teeth is that there is spacing between them, otherwise it's a good indication there will be crowding when bigger adult teeth come in.

Kate has a few crooked teeth too. I'm glad it has no effect on adult teeth, but her parents both are braces "survivors," Chat Icon so I wonder if it's in the genes.

Re: Baby teeth crooked?

Great thread. I was wondering about the spacing. Good to know that space is a good thing.
