Baby Wearing Mommies

Do you prefer the fitted or adjustable ring slings?

I've only used ajustable ring slings -- I really like them.

Depends on the situation. Around the house, adjustable. Out an about, fitted. Ok, so I'm a junkie. hehehe

do you think that a sling would be good with a newborn and having a toddler in a stroller?

and is it ever too hot to use a sling?

Never too hot if the baby is dressed right (although you may get tired fast!). You can buy a pouch that is made of t-shirt material and have the baby in nothing more than a onesie. Slings are awesome with newborn and toddler -- you can still chase the toddler around the playground while keeping baby close and safe.

Thats how I did my food shopping, witht he baby in the sling.

If you position the baby the right way they won't get too hot in the sling

I sometimes put Emma and Jeremy in the double and Lucas in teh sling for walksChat Icon Chat Icon It's a lot of kid for like 2 milesChat Icon

I am looking at a Solarveil sling for the hot weather in Florida in Sept. Also a cotton would be much cooler than a heavier material. Either Solarveil or Organic cotton is my next investment, in addition to a mei tai

DD is 14 months and I've been wearing her since birth! Many slings - carriers accomodate up to 40 - 45 lbs. I was never really keen on the Bjorn however DH likes it.
