Re: Baby winter coats...

We got a playsuit at Old Navy and a snowsuit from L.L. Bean (this was a gift).

I can't find either online anymore-sorry! When is your baby due?

Ah, just realized you can kind of see the snowsuit on my avatar (it's also in my photo album under Matthew). This is the one from L.L. Bean.

It's way too big for him, but the other playsuit from Old NAvy doesn't fit him anymore.

We didn't bother with one.

Also, DC should NOT wear a winter coat when they are in the car seat. The straps will then adjust to the coat and not to DC and god forbid you are in an accident, the baby could be ejectedChat Icon

Re: Baby winter coats...

I'm due just after you and we are not getting one. I figure it won't be cold for that long and I won't be going out much in the beginning anyway. I do have a couple of fleecey warm one or 2 piece outfits I will put her in and i'll tuck her in with warm blankets. My stroller came with a bundle me thing and if I feel I need it, I will get a regular bundle me for the car seat.

Re: Baby winter coats...

Since winter is over I would skip a snowsuit and buy a lightweight pram and use a bundle me.

Or if you really want a winter coat you can check out the clearance section at BabyGap, ON, JCP, Macys, Sears or even the consignment shops or Ebay

ETA: I saw some Carters lightweight pram bunting on clearance in the Macys at Commack and Roosevelt Field.

Re: Baby winter coats...

I didn't buy one. DS was born at the end of November and we have just used the bundle me in the car seat. He is always in the infant seat when we go out, and with the bundle me, I don't have to worry about mittens, either, I just zip up high enought o cover his hands.
