I like Carriage House a lot. There's also Argyle Grill, Barrique (a fav); Monsoon (never been and have heard mixed things); Post Office

Monsoon is a cool atmosphere, food is eh. Feels like a city place.

Barrique is amazing but they don't take reservations and it's kind of small. We ate there and went for drinks at Monsoons after and it was a great time!

Argyle Grill is delicious. Monsoon would be fun for drinks. Food was great but very expensive.

We went to Monsoon for a girls night out and it was GREAT! I would go back every week if I could. Save room for dessert. They have a deep fried oreo cookie that I think I would have left my husband for : ).

Re: Babylon dinner ideas & drinks after where to go
I think it depends on the crowd.
We would be perfectly fine with the Post Office since we're pretty laid back and I don't think it would be as crowded, and we could hang at the bar if necessary.
That's why we always end up staying away from those other places, especially if they do not take reservations.
I used to work in Babylon Village and have eaten often at La Famiglia and also the Japanese place that looks like a diner.
There's also another tiny Japanese place on the south side of Main St. towards the end of town heading east that's good.

Re: Babylon dinner ideas & drinks after where to go
I would say it depends on your crowd.
Carriage House has great food and then the bar area turns into quite a scene later on. The main area turns into a dance floor.
Monsoon is good too but t's good for sharing. We just went for a bday party and we ordered 5 apps and 1 entrée and a side to share. The food was really good. It's a cool atmosphere in there...loungey...the bar area can be crowded but sometimes there is nobody there.
Barrique is good too but as a PP said they do not take reservations and it's small and crowded there. I like to go there to have a pre-game glass of wine or 3.
Horace & Sylvia's has really good food and a very laid back bar area. Same is true for the Post Office.
Argyle has great food and a bar area that's fine to hang out at but it isn't like a happening scene or anything.
We went to Don Riccardo's for a bday party too and the food was great. We all had pitchers of sangria and/or margaritas and it was great.
You could always eat at one place and then bar hop. There are so many spots to check out you won't get bored and everything is in walking distance.
