baby's activity question

It seems that my little girl has night and day confused already Chat Icon She is sooooo active right when I lie down to go to bed and am about to fall asleep, last night she was kicking the cr*p out of me....and is seren and snug as a bug during the day I barely feel her...
Anyone else's munchkin like this, or am I the only one blessed and this is a sign of things to come for me Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: baby's activity question

Babies are usually most active at night I read. Plus, you notice it more bc you are laying down to rest and are not moving around.

My Chat Icon throws a party every night from 8-11. She's also been pretty quiet during the days.

I swear, she was totally having a party last night...DH wasn't home to feel it, bc last night she was on fire....I'm going to have to lock her up in her room until she's 25!!!!

Re: baby's activity question

I think this is very common but my girlfriend said that her Chat Icon keeps the same schedule outside the womb as she did inside so you may be in for some sleepless winter nights!

My Chat Icon is active pretty much all day and into the evening. He's starting to wake up earlier and earlier though!

Yup! this is true.

Although I will tell you that this baby (a girl) is very much like my first baby (a boy) in utero and he does NOT sit still for a second!Chat Icon

Re: baby's activity question

Well, I've heard two things. That when you are walking and moving around, it rocks the baby to sleep so they are not that active, and that when you are resting, laying down, they get active. But, I've also heard that they do keep the same schedule when they are born.

Re: baby's activity question

Oh yes, I know this ALL too well.. but now DH likes to "shake" baby in my stomach during the day to wake him up, because he saw the tech do it, so he knows its safe Chat Icon Chat Icon

So funny you posted this. I am going through the same exact thing and I asked DH the other day if he thought it was a sign of things to come. He thinks so.Chat Icon

Re: baby's activity question

my DC has it a little different, 2 or 3 days will pass where he is moving like crazy day and night keeping me awake, and driving me crazy . then he'll have 2 days of very quiet time, not moving too much at all. right now he is in one of his quiet times. funny how they have a little schedule already!

My Chat Icon throws wild parties in there from 11 pm onwards! I am pretty worried! I have also heard that babies are active at night b/c you're still, when you're up and walking around either you cannot feel the movement or the baby is sleeping. I am thinking of becoming nocturnal to get the baby on a normal schedule! Chat Icon
At least if you're awake at night with your Chat Icon , you know that I will be up too!!!!!!

Re: baby's activity question

Oh my guy is a crazy man at night. Always when I lay down he gets active and when I wake up to pee he wakes up too so it's always fun to try and get back to sleep with all the kicking going on Chat Icon And during the day he's pretty quiet so I'm pretty sure I won't be sleeping at night for a few weeks since that's his "up" time Chat Icon

Re: baby's activity question

I had the same problem quiet all day and as soon as I went to sleep she would start kicking away now she is active all day and semi quiet at night hopefully she will turn around soon so you can get her on a pattern of sleeping at night!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon
