Baby's First Bath
Do you have any tips for me? Jack's cord fell off today so I thought we'd tackle the bath tomorrow night.
Any tips at all would be appreciated. I'm a little nervous for the first bath.

Re: Baby's First Bath
Are you using your sink or a baby tub... we use the baby tub and the first few times I only put an inch of water in because I was so nervous. And check the water temp before putting baby in.
Just have everything you need ready and available before you get the baby in... towels, washcloths, soap, cup for rinsing, and HAVE FUN! My DD loves bathtime, hopefully your baby will love it too!

KEEP the water warm and on him. Noah gets a chill so easy. Its the only part he hates. He got over the scare of it all after the first one.

DD still hates it. Have a clean diaper handy for when you get him out. Also don't bathe too often as it can dry our baby's skin. We try to do every other day but often it turns into every 2 days...

Re: Baby's First Bath
Justin didn't love his 1st two baths but now he does. They have to get used to it, but who knows Jack might love it. Just have everything you need before you get started. Towels, washcloths, rinse cup and tell James to take pics!! You can use them as blackmail when he's older lol j/k
Also make sure the water isn't too hot but also not too cold. I close my bathroom door also so he doesn't get any drafts on him that may make him chilly.
Have fun!!

Re: Baby's First Bath
Lay everything out beforehand. I bathed him in the sink so my kitchen table had the towels laid out with the moisturizer, clean diaper, new outfit, brush and anything else I would need.

Re: Baby's First Bath
what I do is soap him up beforehand and then put him in the tub and rinse him quickly (that way he doesnt get too cold)

I bathed them on the kitchen table until last week. And yes have everything - including a diaper (I forgot that one the first time) out before hand. Oh and I would turn down the AC when you do it - don't want him freezing his little butt off. Enjoy!

Re: Baby's First Bath
Have everything ready...I had her in the sling that came with the bath and would right away dip the washcloth in the warm water and lay it on her so she wouldn't get cold. Then redip and moved the washcloth as I washed her
