Re: Baby's heartrate as a predictor of gender
Both times my baby's HB was over 150 the entire pg and that is indicative of girls and I have one DD and this one is a girl as well.
However I know plenty of people that the baby's HB did not reflect accurately what they were having.

Re: Baby's heartrate as a predictor of gender
Ds and DD always had similar heartrates - in the beginning they were well over 150/160, and by the level II they were close to 130.

Me too! HB only indicates gestational age (starts out high then settles down a little lower as the pregnancy progresses).

Re: Baby's heartrate as a predictor of gender
My friend said it is only at a specific visit, like the 20 week or 24 week, I don't remember which. If it's above 160 at that week it's a girl, she swears it was correct for everyone she knows...I'm on boy #2 & have no idea what the heartrates were at that visit, I think I knew beforehand both times.

DS's heartrate was always well over 150 bpm and he is definitely a boy so that wives tale was not true for us!
