Babysitter and holiday gift
I am going back to work in 3 weeks when DS is 8 weeks. He will only be in daycare the month of November and December. I know most people give their sitters a week pay for the holidays but honestly, he is only there for 2 months. It comes to 28 days with all my holidays (I am a teacher). What do you guys suggest? Should I just suck it up and give a weeks pay? TIA!

just curious about the whole gift thing...am I supposed to give the babysitter a whole month as a gift?? It seems like an awful lot. I was only going to give her a weeks pay for the holidays. Am I being cheap???

Nope we are giving her a week too. I will be home for 2 weeks from the 22nd-Jan 5th so she gets a "paid vacation".

I was thinking the same thing. I pay $180.00 for three days a week. I was going to give her $200.00. I thought that was pretty good.

Re: Babysitter and holiday gift
Maybe I am cheap but giving her a weeks pay for only a month and a half of work is a lot. Do you think I am being cheap or do you have any other suggestions?

I may be wrong, but a months pay is a bit ridiculous in my opinion. Geez I don't get a months pay for my work!!!!!

I made a mistake in my original post. I meant a week, not a month :)
