Babywearing -Slings Q.
Hi, I know this has been asked before but I wondered could anyone recommend a sling that I could use now for my 3 mth old -she is small. She loves to be held and I would like something that is easy to use as well as being supportive. I BF and would love one that I could use as a BF cover when nursing in public. I have been to lots of diff websites but there are soooooooooo many choices out there I am just getting more and more confused. What is the diff between a pouch and a wrap - I know the obvious diffrences but as for wearability what is the diffrence?
I have a baby bjorn but she doesnt like it, I think she would like a sling as she loves to be held in the tummy to tummy position.
Any advice?
TIA.

Re: Babywearing -Slings Q.
I just posted this on another post- I use the bjorn now but when she was small I loved this one. I find it a little too constricting now, when she faces foward but I still use it sometimes to calm her facing in. It goes in all different positions.

I have one from Pottery Barn, but to be honest my daughter never fit in their comfortable. At least it seemed. She didn't start enjoying her Bjorn until 3 or 4 months. I just kept trying. Do you face her forward or inward?

Re: Babywearing -Slings Q.
I was using it with her facing in...so I guess that wasnt much fun for her!! I didnt want to face her out until her head was more steady...she can hold her head up but is still a bit wobbly...she is pretty small...I will try her in it facing out when her head gets more stable....Thanks

Lucky Baby makes a pouch sling and sells them at great prices if you look in the sale section. I wouldn't invest a lot of money in a sling until you know if your baby will like it or not.

Re: Babywearing -Slings Q.
I use a mei tai with my 13 month old and she faces in happily on long walks. My back couldn't handle forward facing in the bjorn. A mei tai holds the baby closer to your body than the bjorn, and in a position that is seated instead of suspended with all the weight on the pelvis.
A wrap is more adjustable and allows for many more positions. A pouch is simple to use but you have to have it sized just right to be comfortable.
For a three month old, I'd think a basic ring sling would be ideal. Zolowear makes one that is popular. I think the ones without padding are much easier to adjust and still cozy for baby.
