SPOILER ALERT
Good Grodd! Bachelorette alum Marcus Grodd thought he'd found The One in Andi Dorfman, only to be sent away with a broken heart after the season 10 hometown dates earlier this year. Thanks to the new franchise spinoff Bachelor in Paradise, though, he's in love once again—this time with a contestant from Juan Pablo Galavis' season of The Bachelor, Lacy Faddoul.
A source confirms to Us Weekly that Grodd and Faddoul got engaged on Bachelor in Paradise, which filmed in June and will premiere on ABC in early August. (Noted Bachelor/Bachelorette blogger Reality Steve was first to report the proposal.)
Sports medicine manager Grodd, 25, was an early favorite on this season of The Bachelorette, earning a coveted one-on-one date with Dorfman in week four of the show. He fell hard and fast, and was the first of the 25 guys to tell her he loved her. (He also performed two very memorable stripteases!)
During the hometown dates, which aired on TV on Monday, July 7, Grodd said Dorfman was "everything" to him. "Andi is my soul mate. I feel that with her," he gushed at the time. "I'm ready to propose to her."
Alas, she sent him home later that same week, telling him she couldn't reciprocate his admittedly intense feelings. "I feel like an idiot," he said through tears. "I believed in something that wasn't there. The sad thing is, I'm still gonna miss her. I'm still in love with her."
Faddoul, for her part, never got past the first rose ceremony with Galavis. The nursing-home owner appeared in the season 18 premiere of The Bachelor, but was sent home after the inaugural cocktail party, along with eight other women.
Bachelor in Paradise premieres on Monday, Aug. 4, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
