Re: Bachelor Partys
ok.. so i voted "Nah, he can go and drink", b/c that really is what it comes down to. i would NEVER tell him not to go (this is just in the instance of a BP.. not going to a strip club all the time "just 'cause"). BUTTTT i'm not happy about it either. i trust him, and i consider myself a Very secure person, But its just not a situation that i like the thought of. I completely disagree with people "disallowing" their DHs to do something- i feel like that is Demeaning and out of place, and so i would never do it, But you also wont ever catch me saying "Oh Im so glad theres a BP tonight so DH can go out and see some strippers" just ain't happening.
also- i didnt want to add super long quotes, but i completely agree with what Both Flee and Don had to say.

He can go - I have no problems with it.
I also know that my DH hates going to bachelor parties with strippers (I think he is the minority! )
Well my DH also gets NOTHING out of strippers or that sort of thing, so I guess both our hubbies are in the minority
That said - am I THRILLED when I hear that my DH might be at a party with strippers? well NO, not particuarly. But do I care/would I prevent him from going? Again- NO
What I DON"T agree with (and many of you may disagree with my feelings) is the "private parties' in hotel rooms and such, where strippers are hired as entertainment I dont mind strip clubs because there are some rules and limitations to what goes on, but the private stripper thingy is BAD NEWS (IMO) I've heard TOO many stories and its just not something I'd really like my husband to be a part of, IF I had the choice (which I don't , since he can choose what he wants to do)
AND NO it has nothing to do with trust, I trust my DH completely .. its just sleazy is all
that was my bachelor party flee -- it was in my BM's apartment and i agree, it can get dicey if you let it.
In my case, boosh and I sat down and went over the whole thing. We made a list of what I could do and what I could not. Guys at the party tried to get me to do more but I didn't. Then the next day, I told Boosh every detail.

Re: Bachelor Partys
I don't have a problem with it at all. I just get a little jeleous, but that's just how I am. Once he comes home and tells me all about it, I don't care.
For DH's bachelor party, they went to AC, and had 2 lesbian strippers, who performed on each other!
Of course I WILL NOT sit home alone while he is out! I go out with the girls, and have our own fun!

speaking of having our own fun, I have been to a few bachelorette parties and whoa!!!!! SOME girls can be just as crazy as the guys..
Not me though... For mine, we went to some show in the city and I performed the song Like a Virgin on stage with my girls as my backup singers/dancers!!!
And I did NOT pick the song!!

Re: Bachelor Partys
I wouldn't ban him from going, but I wouldn't be happy about an overnight thing with private strippers. Drinking and going to a strip club, thats no problem.

Re: Bachelor Partys
I would have no problem whatsoever letting DH attend a bachelor party with strippers there. If he was going weekly to strip bars I'd start thinking about our relationship. My only rule is as always "you can look, but ya can't touch!"

Re: Bachelor Partys
My take is... I have no problem with him going, no problem with strippers, no problem with drinking... BUT...he better not drive home drunk and I'm not a big fan of the "staying out all night". I see no reason that a married man has to be out past 3 or 4 am.

I have absolutely NO problem whatsoever. I trust my DH. He's honestly not much of a drinker anyway and I know he wouldn't do anything to a stripper beyond looking.

you're awesome!!!!
Thank You My DH and his friends are all going to one at the end of the month and one of the wives had to know if there would be strippers because if so....her DH would not be allowed to go. Her DH who is a friend of my DH's wasn't allowed to go to my DH's for that reason.
FYI...this same woman got a lap dance from a male stripper last month at a bachelorette party

Re: Bachelor Partys
Posted by danigirl0 youre not alone. me and DH took separate trips to vegas for our parties! Same here! In fact, I just got back from Vegas from a bachelorette party, too!
I think it's ridiculous when a woman tries to control how to trust her SO.
