back from my appointment alittle disappointed but OK! edited for Question
I went for my ultrascreen today..baby is behind 2 days and they couldnt do the test bc its too small! booo!!..But I altealst got to see that the baby is still there and looking SOO different then my first sono where it looked like a dolphin!  They went over all my blood work and everything is great, just that I am anemic Which explains why I bruise so easily!
So I am going back next week for the test and hopefully will have pictures!! YAY
My doctor also recommends that I get the flu shot but they JUST ran out, so I will see if they have any next week when i go. As for the swine flu shot, she isn't very sure about it and wants to know more before she recommends it to anyone!
ETA..Was your ultrascreen sono an internal? Mine wasnt I was expecting it to be?

Oh man, sounds like a trend this week-with not being able to get the right measurements! I have mine tomorrow so we shall see!
At least you get to see the baby again though! Did they give you vitamins for the anemia?

I just replied to you in my post.
The baby does look sooo different from my first sonogram. You can see more characteristics...so awesome!
I thought the ultrascreen was going to be like a 3D ultrasound or a sonogram. But it seemed to be a regular ultrasound. I'm surprised that they didn't give you the pictures this round, they gave me printouts of my pics.
I have to ask my Dr. about the flu shot next week when I see him.

I had an external sono...everything will be okay and my doctor recommended the flu shot too I got it last week ,,,he however said NO to the swine flu vaccine ..

She said she would give me iron vitamins but to try eating more iron first, she doesnt want to torture me with constipation! So I am gonna try and get more iron in me!

the good news is you get to go back and get another sono.
none of my sonos have been internal. every practice is different though.

They didnt give me pictures so I wouldnt have to pay for the Sono! Extra $30 in my pocket! Next week is our week!!

I had an external and an internal sono at my 12 week ultrascreen appt. She couldn't get all the measurements from just the external.

No the ultrascreen is not an internal. I did however get one afterwards just to check my cervical length.. but they said it was totally up to me if I wanted it.

not always true. it depends on if they can get the proper measurements. it's different for everyone and every pregnancy.
with DS, it was external AND internal.
with DD, just external because they got everything they needed.
