Back pain from epi? Anyone?
When I received my epidural in the hospital, I found out I had scoliosis. Didnt know this before but always suffered with back pain. They actually didnt even want me to get it but I literally screamed when i Heard that and they gave it to me...warning me about the residual back pain from it down the line. Of course at that time, I didnt care about that at all!
Well now the time has come! Every night I wake up in the worst pain ever. The only thing that takes it away is a hot shower and 3 motrin. And even then, it onlly takes the edge off. All day long, I have an annnoying pain right in the site that I received the injection.
Has anyone else been experiencing this? I am not even sure if this is even epidural related..maybe its something else...but if you have any pain..can you describe it for me and how long after having your dc did it start??

Re: Back pain from epi? Anyone?
I've had a mild case of scoliosis (diagnosed as a teen) and I let the anesthesiologist know before he gave me my epi. Don't know if that helped as far as where to position the epi but I've been feeling fine. I actually had terrible back pain during pregnancy and have been feeling so much better since giving birth.
