Back pain from the epidural..but after 8 months???

Has anyone suffered from back pain after the epidural?

Maybe I should ask if anyone started to suffer a while after. I was warned when I was getting the epi that I may have extreme residual back pain because apparently I have scoliosis which I didnt know before. Of course, I opted for the epi due to the pain that I was in at the time and Ive been ok up until now. Megan is 8 months old and my back pain is HORRENDOUS! Ive always had a bad back but this pain is much different. I am almost positive its from the epi..I am just surprised it took this long to start.

Anyone else? And what does it feel like?

Yes...yes and yes! Ever since giving birth if I sit in a hard chair for more than 15 minutes, it just kills me to get up. To me, it feels like a dull ache. It comes and goes but I never had any back pain before giving birth. My DD is 7 months.

If your back pain is just starting now are you sure it's not from picking up an 8mth old? If it's pain from an epidural it probably would have bothered you since the beginning. Also if you have scoliosis that could be causing your pain.

No back pain...the injection site was sore for months but that was it...my sister has scoliosis too and wonders if she will have an epi when the time comes.

I have posted about this several times, I have had back problems this year twice! Once at Christmas and once in early Feb. So thats back pain that started a year after I had my epidural! I never had one problem with my back until I had an epidural...I might have a disc problem, but I believe it was exacerbated by the epidural. I am going for an MRI next week, so I will find out more. One bout of back pain had me flat out for almost 3 weeks!!!
