backyard patio
This is our spring project. The old homeowners had a deck that had to be removed before closing since it was not up to code. Now we are left with a big patch of dirt. Since we are doing major construction to the entire inside I really did not want to spend a ton of money on the backyard yet. Dh wants to do concrete or stamped concrete. I saw a one level wooden deck that I thought was different.
Does anyone know price wise if there is a huge difference between a concrete patio & a deck? I keep hearing the deck is going to cost us a lot more, but I can't imagine the concrete being inexpensive.
Also, if you can recommend who you used please. Thanx

Re: backyard patio
Have no idea for prices but don't forget to include upkeep for the deck in your pricing unless you get the plastic wood stuff.

Re: backyard patio
I would love to know this as well how much a patio would cost. I already have a deck but would like to put down a patio where the deck ends for more space to put tables etc.

I'm also glad you asked this...we've been trying to decide if we should do a low deck, concrete or stamped concrete or a combination of the two...

Re: backyard patio
Also keep in mind deck off your house will increase your taxes. A paver or concrete patio will not.
