Backyard renovation has begun! UPDATED!
And I'm so freaking excited! DH and I can't wait to be able to sit back there and have a place for Daisy play! they said depending on weather it should take about 5 days.
Here are some before pictures. the backyard is a hot mess!
UPDATE: 6/14/10
They finished early Friday afternoon and i couldn't be happier. The company was very effiecient, the guys worked like dogs, they were SO CLEAN, never left a mess at the end of the day... highly recommend Castle Landscaping. Here are some befores and afters. we are waiting for our fence (1-5 weeks) and the grass to grow. We are also having the back of the house re-cemented and the cement stairs resurfaced.

What are you having done? Who are you using?
Everything else about the house is great -- inside, front of the outside was redone -- we were SOLD. then they showed us the backyard, lol.
Back retaining wall to level out property, side retaining wall in stone where the big mound is, 15 x 25 paver patio along the back of the house, 8x8 concrete slab for the hot tub, new fencing and railing, grading and seeding. we are using Castle Landscape. So far I've had a great experience with them. They've been great with getting back to us on changes to the proposal, they were here on time this morning and they've gotten so much done in the 3 hours they've been here!

It sounds like it's going to be amazing.
You already enjoy the inside, this is the perfect time of the year to be able to enjoy the outside as well.

The concrete slab is for the hot tub
view from standing on top of the stone wall
we have a guy coming in 3 weeks to resurface the back of the house and the steps. and this is a free.99 patio set my moms friend was throwing out so i took it. it's in great condition, the umbrella is in awesome condition and it even came with a lounge chair!
Steps will also be resurfaced, the reailing is being replaced and we are getting a pvc privacy piece for the AC unit

thanks ladies! it's amazing what a few retaining walls and a patio can do. I can't wait to see it complete with flowers, grass and a fence!
