Re: Bad Heartburn
I had some terrible heartburn early on too...especially at night when I would lay down. I kept Tums by my bed and took 2 or 3 when needed. That seemed to help a lot.
Feel better

Re: Bad Heartburn
I tried the following things: Eating several small meals each day- I typically eat this way so this wasn't anything new for me. Ate foods that were low in acid- oatmeal, baked chicken and fish, bananas, and vegetables, are all low in acid. I stayed away from fried foods, oil, and citrus. Standing whenever possible- If I had the opportunity to get up and walk I did. I found moving sometimes helped a bit. After that didn't work I went to Tums and Zantac. That has helped a little, but it's still not great. I feel acid in my mouth ALL DAY LONG!!! It's been going on for 3 weeks. I spoke to my Dr. about it at my last appointment and she said I should start to notice a difference in my 11th week. If by the end of that week it's no better then I should maybe speak to my PCP.

Re: Bad Heartburn
Tums for short term relief. Zantac when Tums no longer cut it.

Re: Bad Heartburn
This was me for both of my pregnancies. It was really bad. My OB told me to take Zantac 75 because tums wasn't cutting it.
ETA my only true relief from it was giving birth lol

You just reminded me... bananas were one of the biggest causes of heartburn for me.
