Bad hiccups
My almost 5 yr old gets pretty bad hiccups once in a while. Had it since he was a baby, but figured he'd outgrow it. He doesn't get it as much as he did as a baby, but when he does you can hear it in his stomach. Whenever he's gotten sick and threw up it always starts with hiccups too. I think with certain food or when he laughs too much it sets it off. Should I get him checked for acid reflux? He was afraid of eating as a baby and threw up and gagged easily and now he'd better about it. I guess he just never outgrew it.

Bad hiccups
Both my son and daughter get the hiccups bad. My dd is only 2 weeks old and they put her on medication for acid reflux. Hiccups was one of the symptoms amongst others. It won't hurt to ask the dr. To check him out and see what they think. I think there are a few tests to ck for acid reflux like an endoscopy or one were they swollow a chalky liquid and get an X-ray of the esophagus.
