*Bad* Sunburn and Pregnant
OK, so I guess I wasn't as covered as I thought I was yesterday - I burned myself really good!! My ankles and the tops of my feet are bright red and hurt like heck!
My question is - my feet are incredibly swollen now. Is this cause for concern or shall I just put my feet up and smack myself for being so stupid?
TIA!

I don't have an answer to your question, but I wanted to say I'm sorry about your burn. Put a lot of aloe on it and feel better!

Re: *Bad* Sunburn and Pregnant
The combination of pregnancy and the sunburn is what is making them so swollen. Keep your feet up and take some Tylenol for the pain. Feel better
FYI:You are much more susceptible to the sun when you are preggo

Put some aloe on it too! I got a bad burn on my shoulders earlier this summer, so I know exactly what you're going through!

Re: *Bad* Sunburn and Pregnant
Oh, so the verdict is - I am an idiot! I went to the doctor yesterday because my ankles were totally swollen by the end of the day. I can't believe how huge they got. Doc said keep them up and put a cool towel on them. I should have just stayed out of the sun, but I LOVE going to the races at Riverhead - you can't pry me away from that place!
GIRLS - BE CAREFUL! Don't get too much sun, I am paying for it now. If what I hear is true (your ankles will never go back to pre-preggo size) I am screwwwwwed! Learn from my mistakes

Re: *Bad* Sunburn and Pregnant
I got a really bad burn (on my legs and feet) last year in Jamaica while I was pregnant. The nurse at the hotel couldn't do anything for me. I sat in a cool tub. Keep your feet up, drink plenty of water. Also try soaking your feet in white vinegar. My dad did this once and it helped with the pain.
eta: my ankles are bac to pre-pregnancy size.

Re: *Bad* Sunburn and Pregnant
Feel better Katie
I'm the complete opposite. I'm out in the pool & sun all day during the weekends and I don't get any color, where pre-preggo I'd get really dark!!!
Even the days I go out without sunblock (b/c I didn't expect to be out long or at all) I don't get much.
I seem to be the exception to every rule
