Bad weather boots
Since we have our babies now and are always taking them out both my DH and I need winter boots. I would prefer something sort of fashionable but function is my first priority. We don't necessarily get a lot of snow here but it does get cold and we deal with ice. TIA! If you have any reco's for my DH that would be great too.

Re: Bad weather boots
I am looking for something for myself too. I did see some sort of fashionable waterproof/snowboot at Bandalino but I had the kids and was in a rush so I didn't go in to check them out. I think they came in white, eggplant and black. They were really cute.
DH bought himself a pair of Ecco boots at the outlet. DH runs a warehouse so his feet always are cold in the winter since their is minimal heat in hit. He finally wore them on Sunday and he didn't complain so I am going to say he liked them. Ecco also makes great shoes and DH has bad feet. The one's he got I think are gortex too so his feet won't sweat and they are waterproof. I think he paid $80 at the outlet for them.

I have had both Bare Traps and Uggs and IMO Bare Traps have better traction. (And are more attractive!)

Re: Bad weather boots
I was thinking of getting these Uggs - Adirondack II.
I agree that the regular Uggs do not have enough traction.

Hunter boots
Maybe I'm missing something but all I see are the Wellies-aren't those for rain. As you can see I haven't bought many pairs of winter boots before. I was always the a$$hole slipping around in my regular boots

I bought a pair of boots that look like UGGS in costco and I feel they will have better traction in the winter than my UGGS. It's worth a shot to see if they have them and they were $34 I believe.

After falling on my arse today in the slushy parking lot I would have to say no...of course this is on my way out of the mall today buying my 2nd pair. I like the lace up ones that were posted.

I fell on my FACE last year wearing my Uggs. And I hurt myself so bad, I was MISERABLE. There is no way they have traction. They're also not waterproof so they shouldn't be worn in the snow regardless...
I'm also confused if you need rain boots or snow boots. I have the tretorns too and I like them for the rain, but for the snow, ehhhhhhh...
Any of these? http://www.uggaustralia.com/ProductsList.aspx?gID=w&categoryID=555
They're in the "weather" category so I assume they're all waterproof...

Re: Bad weather boots
I have the Tretorn boots for rain. I got my snow boots at the Bass outlet (I work for the Co) and there are no pictures online, but they are like these from LL Bean.
