Bahamas: Help - Hotel Recommendations...

I need a vacation!

My DH and I were talking a while ago and I said let's go to Vegas and then he says let's go to the Bahamas. So I said OK, where do you want to go, he says I don't care you pick it and you make the arrangements.

I hate making travel arrangements--its overwhelming to me. I don't know where to begin

The only hotel I know of is the Atlantis (I've never been to the Bahamas). The Atlantis seems a little pricey, but then again I've heard good things, probably worth the price, right?

Is there any other hotel that is I compatible to the Atlantis?

Any help would be appreciated.

I would recommend Paradise Island over Nassau and unfortunately there isn't much choice other than Atlantis. There are a few different property levels the Atlantis, so do a search on Expedia or Orbitz.

We stayed on Paradise Island in February at a very cheap but cheerful all-inclusive called the Paradise Island Harbour Resort. It was on the Harbor side of the island and it was okay for the 3 days we were there. We drove around the island on mopeds and saw most of the hotels - RIU, Comfort Suites and the Ocean Club which is , I would opt for Atlantis next time.

would you be interested in a cruise to the bahamas? We just got back from ours and we had a fantastic time- it was a short cruise that left out of Port Canaveral and went to Nassau and Cocoa Cay- we went to paradise island as well and went to atlantis-which is an amazing place (We will def. go back there)

there is also an all inclusive in the bahamas- someone on here recently mentioned it

We loved Sandals, I have also stayed at The Cable Beach resort (its a radisson) and that was awesome too.

atlantis is always nice, i liked it there too :)

i just love the bahamas, but sandals was the best resort out of all of them.

I have been the Nassau twice years ago. Paridise Island is definitley nicer, but if you were thinking of going to Nassau - I stayed at Breezes which was very nice and I think the other hotel was Radisson - also very nice. Breezes had more night life.

We go to the Bahamas a lot and we have always stayed at the Radisson Cable Beach. We really liked it. There are a few restaurants, pool bar, beach, hot tubs...and It is connected to the Wyndham which has a casino....

Last time we went we stayed at the Riu which is in Paradise Island right next door to Atlantis...it Was OK but I preferred the Radisson./..It Was a far walk to the beach, food was just OK...but It is right next door to Atlantis so we went there almost every night...

we stayed at breezes in Cable Beach...it was all inclusive...food was decent...but we had a great time...and its just a short bus ride into town and to Paradise Island

I definitely have to recommend Our Lucaya on the Grand Bahama Island. It's BEAUTIFUL and it's a lot of fun and relaxing at the same time.

We love the Ocean Club!!!

It is much nicer than the Atlatis, well is different..Atlantis is nice for families, has a nice pool area..but it is a huge resort.....Ocean Club is smaller and very private which we love...it was featured in the Last James Bond movie....
