Baked Brie
How do you do that? I bought a piece of brie - now do I just bake it and then serve with crakers or hard bread?

Re: Baked Brie
I buy the kind on the box, take the wrapper off, stick it back in the box, put it in the oven on 350, and keep it in until it starts to bubble a bit.

Re: Baked Brie
This isn't exactly what you are looking for.. but its baked brie and an AWESOME appetizer.....
Ingredients: Craisins 1 granny smith apple crescent rolls (refrigerator section) 1 brie triangle honey cinnamon butter 1 egg Grease a pan spread crescent rolls out in a star shape. (doesn't have to be perfect) cut brie in half and spread honey between the top and bottom put brie back together with honey in between and place in the center of the star shaped crescent rolls cover the brie with the ends. I just try to get all the ends and cover the brie as best you can. beat one egg in a bowl and cover the outside with a little of the egg with a brush or your hands. this makes it get a golden color and it keeps the crescent roll sealed. place in the oven on 350 for 10-15 minutes. Just watch it and if the brie starts to ooze out then take it out early. cut up apples without peel and sprinkle with cinnamon. Put apples, a few pats of butter and craisins in the microwave or on top of the stove and melt together. transfer the apples and craisins over the brie roll

Re: Baked Brie
this one is very good. you can also make it with fig jam (or any kind of jam intead of the raspberries). you can also use filo dough instead of puff pastry.
ingredients 1/2 cup raspberry preserves 1/4 cup fresh or frozen unsweetened raspberries, thawed 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh rosemary leaves 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (half of 17.3-ounce package), thawed 1 13.2-ounce Baby Brie cheese (about 6 to 7 inches in diameter) 1 large egg, beaten to blend (for glaze) Crackers and baguette slices Grapes
preparation Preheat oven to 400°F. Stir preserves, berries and rosemary in small bowl to blend. Season berry mixture with pepper. Roll out pastry on lightly floured surface to 12-inch square. Cut top rind off cheese; discard rind. Place cheese, rindless side up, in center of pastry. Spoon raspberry mixture onto cheese. Fold pastry on 2 opposite sides over cheese. Brush remaining 2 sides of pastry with glaze. Fold over cheese; press seams to seal. Brush pastry with glaze; place on baking sheet. Bake cheese until pastry is deep golden brown (top of pastry may split open), about 30 minutes. Let cool 20 minutes. Place baked cheese on serving platter. Surround with crackers, baguette slices, and grapes.

Re: Baked Brie
I know someone who just spreads raspberry preserves on top and sprinkles chopped nuts over that and bakes it. People always love it. I'm allergic to nuts, but it looks great!

Re: Baked Brie
I cut off the rind and wrap it in puff pastry, then bake in the oven. It's so yummy. I have added preserves & slice almonds between the cheese & pastry too and that's good as well.
