Baked Tofu
I need a recipe to make baked tofu so that when it's cooked, it's completely tasty and has shrunk down in size.

Re: Baked Tofu
Oh my mom used to make something like this. I'll ask her for the recipe, but I know it had soy sauce, garlic, ginger, rice wine vinegar and sesame oil. So tasty.
Edited because it was sesame oil, not peanut.
Can't get my hands on the recipe right now, but the tofu gets cut into thin rectangles, marinated for maybe an hour, then baked for about 15 minutes on each side (at, I'd guess, 350)

Re: Baked Tofu
My friend sent me this recipe she raves about, I have not tried it yet but I want to be brave and give it a go one day!
Double Soy Ginger Tofu (serves 4 - 3 points on WW)
1 tsp sesame oil 2 Tbsp rice vinegar 3 Tbsp orange juice 3 Tbsp soy sauce 15 oz extra firm tofu 1 Tbsp ginger root
1. Preheat oven to 400. In a small saucepan combine vinegar and ginger. Bring to a simmer over low heat, then remove from heat and stir in Orange Juice, soy sauce, sesame oil and 2 tablespoons water.
2. Cut tofu crosswise into 12 slices and arrange a single layer in a baking dish. Pour ginger mixture over tofu, tilt dish so that all tofu is covered. 3. Bake until liquid evaporates approx. 40-45 minutes.

Re: Baked Tofu
We marinate the tofu, slice it up, cook it on a griddle until its browned, then eat it in a sandwich, or on a salad, or as a main dish with some veggie sides. If you buy the already baked tofu, you can eat it in a lovely sandwich. Tempeh you can do the same with. I love Tempeh!
