My guess would be $15-20K without a bathroom. My basement was finished when I moved in but I have a few friends that have done good size basements and come in under $20K.

We are looking into the Basement Store. We had a guy from Alure come out and do the plans and then wanted $30,000 for it. I am not doing anything special. And that price didn't include the heating or floors.
When he left to put his things back in the car and told my Dh and I to discuss things, I ran to my printer and made a copy of the plans. I'm going into the Basement store with everything ready (measurements, plans)
I only have 690 sq. ft to finish in my basement so I figure with heat, carpet and new windows I should be up to $10,000. At least that is what I'm hoping!
The Basement Store
There is a store in Nesconset.

I've seen ads that companies will do it for $5K, others for $10K. I know imthekevinofcindyandkevin had some estimates given, among a few others on the Home board if you run a search.
It can get pricey, but get some estimates from various companies and compare.
Also, keep in mind - by finishing a basement, you are increasing liveable space in your home (thus taxes incewase), and by law you have to report it to the Town (not many do until it's time to sell), but just something to note for your records.

I believe without a bath, just sheetrocking, etc, you are looking at around 9000-12000.

Mine is costing us about $12,000.
We have a few friends doing some work like plumbing, framing & sheetrocking at a discount.
