Balloon question - Helium tank
Has anyone rented the helium tank from Party City. If you did, about how many balloons does it fill?? Were the balloons the rubber balloons or the metallic ones.

i know the one in north babylon has two (or maybe three) different sizes. If you tell them how many you need they should be able to help you get the right size. It was mostly the latex balloons.

How many balloons do you want to fill?
You can buy a Party Time Kit.. BJ's sells the 50 balloon kit for $19.99 (it comes with standard latex balloons, of course you can buy your own) -- that is the absolute cheapest you can find them, everywhere else sells for 29.99!

Re: Balloon question - Helium tank
No, they don't always have them. I was keeping an eye out for them at BJ's for many, many months and never saw them. When my memberhsip finally expired, they get hundreds of them! I don't know why they don't always keep them in stock? It's like that with their baby stuff too, I'm waiting for them to restock the FrogPod.. When they get their baby stuff in, it's SO MUCH cheaper that other retailers.
You can call and check before you go there.
eta: Walmart sells the 30 balloon kit for $19.99 as well. You can always get them full price at Party City or any type of Party store.

Re: Balloon question - Helium tank
The Party City by me doesn't rent helium tanks anymore. I bought one of those tanks that was supposed to fill 50 balloons, and it didn't fill that many. Although it worked out really well with getting ready for Marron's birthday party, just know that you most likely won't get the 50 out of the tank. I used 12" balloons instead of the 9" that they calculate the helium on, but I didn't even get 30 balloons out of it. I ended up having to go buy filled ballons to complete my centerpieces. Maybe buy 2 and then you can return 1 if you don't need it.

Re: Balloon question - Helium tank
I started buying those tanks and Im so happy with them. I'd rather do them at home than worry about having to pick them up, some breaking, tangling, etc. They cost a little more but you can get it at Target too ($25 I think) but they fill a lot of balloons. I got my son some mylar bouquets balloons on ebay for super cheap and filled my own.
