I don't think the internet codes will work - they're usually unique to the card.
I gave some away last week - my sister works for the GAP.

They won't let you use these print outs in the stores. I just asked tonight and they said no

Yeah, I just came back from the Gap and someone in front of me had the print out one and they told her she needed the actual card. Luckily I had one, a associate gave me a card the other day I was in there..
