Baptism party restauruant or catering hall recc?

Looking for something in the Great Neck/Manhasset/Port Washington/Roslyn vicinity. If a restaurant, would like a private room. Looking for something that can hold b/w 40-60 people. Someplace nice as price isn't so much an issue - just have limited options since all the places I know either we have had parties or a close family member has ! TIA SO MUCH!

Try Stressa on Northern blvd in Manhasset near the L&T. We had our engagement party there - my parents threw it for us. It was a sit down luncheon and cocktail hour with passed food before the luncheon. No private room but we had the entire restaurant for ourselves. They will close for private parties.

Table 9 in East Hills (on Glen cove rd)
HIGHLY recommend them. I had my baby shower there and a few family functions. Food is awesome, price is great and they have their own private room upstairs which is really nice.

I was looking in the same area, but had to do a Knights of Columbus because of the # of people we had.

I wanted to have it at Louie's in Port but they didn't have our date available. I also looked into the George Washington Manor and Harbor Links Golf Course.

I would not recc Louies- the food there stinks and the staff has attitude. The view is great and that where it ends.

My BBF had her baby shower at GW maor and I was impressed. My family looked into GWM for my shower but went with MildrINN

I am sorry you felt that way but I recently had a large party there and have to come to their defense. The food was absolutely excellent. The staff was amazing. My DDs 1st bday was there. I would never rec somewhere that wasn't excellent. And I have very high standards. Everyone raved about the food, the service, etc.

Funny you mention Milleridge Inn....Chat Icon I also had a party there and I would NEVER have a party again at Milleridge. I was embarrassed and disappointed at the party I had there for my mom's bday. The food was awful. The service was awful. The food was extremely SKIMPY and BLAH. Never again. Even dinner one time about a year ago, the service was awful.

To the OP...FM me if you want to know more.

Re: Baptism party restauruant or catering hall recc?

Thanks so much ladies for the reccs - unfortunately a number of these won't work - table 9 and GW manor are favorites in our fam so i've been there too many times already! Louie's is booked, stressa not available for our time and la parma wasn't thrilled iwth the room they could give us for the day and time (not really private).

I've never been to Harbor links - has anyone been to an actual party there? Was the food good? Is the decor nice? Worth checking out?
